Online Lecture Series of the TU9 Libraries

From Prompt to Paper – Using AI Smartly in Your Studies

How can AI really help you with your studies – from research and academic writing to exam preparation? This is what the TU9 university libraries’ online lecture series “From Prompt to Paper” is all about.

From 21 April to 23 June 2026, experts from the TU9 will show how artificial intelligence can be used sensibly, efficiently, and responsibly in everyday student life. Across eight online sessions, participants will receive practical tips, tools, and examples of how AI can support their studies – and where its limitations lie. The legal aspects of using AI will also be explained in an accessible way.

The TUM University Library will contribute its own session on May 5, 2026, focusing on AI tools for literature research.

What to expect:

  • Legal foundations: using AI in academic contexts
  • Introduction to prompting with ChatGPT & similar tools
  • AI tools for literature research (e.g. Scopus AI, Consensus)
  • Data analysis and processing with AI
  • Writing with generative AI
  • The impact of AI on science and society

Event details:

  • Target group: Students and interested participants
  • Date: 21 April – 23 Juni 2026
  • Time: Tuesday, 3:00–4:00 p.m.
  • Format: Online (Zoom)
  • Participation: Free of charge
