TUM participates in a national Publish & Read consortium with IOP Publishing, offering TUM members special conditions for their open access publications.

The following services are available through the University Library:

• Reading Access
  At TUM, you have access rights to almost the entire journal portfolio of IOP Publishing [1].
   
• Open Acces Publishing  
  As a "Corresponding Author" affiliated with TUM, you have the opportunity to publish your papers as Open Access in almost all journals of IOP Publishing. There are no costs for you personally for Open Access publishing. APCs (Article Processing Charges) are covered by TUM and handled through the TUM University Library. If you opt for additional services (e.g., for color illustrations or extra length) with the publisher, IOP Publishing will directly invoice you for those expenses.

Indicate your affiliation with TUM
For cost coverage and the precise attribution of your publication, it is crucial that you indicate TUM as your primary affiliation and utilize the binding, standardized affiliation designation. Please adhere to the specifications outlined in the TUM Publication Guidelines [2] for all your publication projects. Always use your TUM email address (@tum.de or @mytum.de) for the submission process to ensure that the publisher correctly affiliates you with TUM.
