TUM.University Press offers publication services that help make your research more visible. As a non-profit institution of TUM, the university's publishing house provides tailored publishing options: cost-effective, academically focused, and fair.

In our editorial programs, we publish monographs, edited volumes, proceedings, textbooks, and dissertations from the TUM community. We also host Open Access journals and provide the necessary technical infrastructure at no cost.

Publishing Profile

TUM.University Press is the Open Access publisher of the Technical University of Munich. As a not-for-profit service of the University Library,it provides authors with expert guidance and ensures a professional and appealing presentation of publications. The range of publications includes academic journals, monographs, dissertations, conference proceedings, and textbooks from all disciplines represented at TUM.

In line with the needs of the academic community, TUM.University Press offers hybrid publishing options: books can be published digitally in Open Access as well as in print, with printed editions available in traditional bookshops and via online booksellers.

Open Access publications  ensure free, unrestricted access to scholarly content worldwide. This facilitates high visibility, broad reach, and increased citation of publications within the international research community.

The working group is an association of university presses, publishing services and platforms from German-speaking countries, which are closely affiliated with academic institutions and offer professional publishing services. The membership criteria [6] include, in particular, quality assurance according to scientific standards and the support of Open Access.

The aim of the association is to establish networks with each other and to enable knowledge exchange.
