Research Data Services of the University Library form TUM Research Data Hub in cooperation with the Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI) – the central point of contact for research data management issues at TUM. In addition to training and networking events, we support the entire data life cycle of research projects.

We want to promote data literacy and offer free training for beginners and advanced students and researchers.

Research Data Management Essentials

The training Research Data Management Essentials – Sustainable Data Handling in Research [2] is an introductory course. Learn how to sustainably handle research data and which infrastructure offers can support you. We explain third-party funders' requirements for RDM and how to implement them.

Applied Data Management Seminar

Become an expert in research data with the Applied Data Management Seminar – Professional Research Data Practices in Projects [3]! In this one-semester intensive program, you will gain in-depth knowledge on research data infrastructure. You will develop solutions for subject-specific requirements of research data management and be empowered to support other researchers in your field in dealing with data.
