Our webinar carrels in the Branch Librar Mathematics & Informatics offer exactly that: Soundproofed, private, and reservable – the perfect solution for anyone who doesn’t have a quiet space at home or simply prefers working at the library.
Online Reservation
Check-in
For all online reservations of study desks and rooms, an on-site check-in is required.
Please note:
- You will receive a QR code with your reservation confirmation. This code be scanned at the check-in stations located in the respective branch library before occupying the reserved study space.
- For webinar carrels, check-in must be completed within 30 minutes of the reservation start time. Otherwise, the resource will be automatically released back into the reservation system.
Availability & Equipment
The University Library offers twelve webinar carrels in the Branch Library Mathematics & Informatics. They are available for TUM students and especially suitable for:
- Actively participating in webinars – speaking allowed!
- Online lectures
- Presentations via video conference
- Job or internship interviews
Equipment & Setup
- Soundproofed for focused and non-disturbing use
- Power outlets and internet connection
- Two desks and swivel chairs – suitable for up to two people
Terms and Conditions
Who can reserve webinar carrels?
- Only TUM students
- Reservations are non-transferable and must not be made for others
How to reserve
- Reserve online via the reservation system [2]

- Book up to 7 days in advance – same-day bookings are possible
Reservation limits
- Max. 4 hours per reservation
- Max. 2 reservations per calendar week per branch library
When does my reservation expire?
- If you don’t show up and check in within 30 minutes
- If you're away for more than 60 minutes or don't use a break disc
- Expired reservations are not refunded to your quota
Things to keep in mind
- Drinks in tightly closed containers are okay
- No food or alcohol allowed
