LIT Freshers Day
New to TUM? At the LIT Freshers Day, we introduce you to the University Library's key servicesto help you get off to a successful start. Learn how to make the most of the study space in the branch libraries and how to find, borrow, and access academic literature online with confidence.

Program
The LIT Freshers Day program consists of two parts:
- Orientation: Get to know services and branch libraries
- Research Skills: Selected content from the course “Literature Research Basics – Finding Relevant Books and Journals”
Dates & Registration
The LIT Freshers Day is offered on four dates. Choose between webinar or on-campus session, and between the German-language or the English-language program. All sessions take place from 13:00 to 15:00.

Participation in the LIT Freshers Day is free of charge. Webinar sessions are held via MS Teams, while on-campus sessions take place at the TUM Main Campus in Munich.
LIT Advanced Day
Your final thesis is approaching, your reading list keeps growing, and deadlines are getting closer. At the LIT Advanced Day, you will learn how to collect literature systematically, cite sources correctly, and organize your research process efficiently.

- 08:00 – 10:00: Literature Research Advanced – Finding Relevant Scientific Papers in Databases
- 10:30 – 12:30: Citation Essentials – Referencing Sources and Citations with Confidence
- 13:00 – 14:30: Zotero Basics – Reference Management and Knowledge Organization
- 15:00 – 17:00: AI for Literature Research Essentials – Optimizing Search Queries
Dates & Registration
The LIT Advanced Day is offered online on two dates. Each day consists of four webinars that you can book individually, according to your needs. Choose between the German program on the first day or the English one on the second day.

Participation is free of charge. All sessions are held online via Microsoft Teams.
