Students are increasingly using AI tools to find scholarly information, evaluate literature, and speed up research processes. As a result, new challenges arise for instructors: How can the use of AI in literature research be effectively supported? Which opportunities and risks should be discussed? And how can students learn to critically assess AI-generated results?

In the course “AI in Teaching Essentials – Guiding Students in Literature Research”, you will explore current developments in AI-assisted literature research and develop strategies for your own teaching practice. You will reflect on your own experiences, exchange ideas with fellow instructors, and learn how AI tools can be integrated into research processes in a purposeful and responsible way. Practical teaching materials will help you to integrate these topics into your courses.

What You Will Learn

  • Possible applications of AI tools in the literature search process
  • Reflecting on and evaluating personal experiences with AI-assisted literature searching
