With the start of the winter semster, we are extending our opening hours: Our Branch Libraries Weihenstephan and Mathematics and Informatics will return to longer opening hours – both libraries will open at 8:00 a.m. on weekdays and at 10:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays. Closing time is 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. respectively.
Opening Hours Overview
Reserving study desks
With the extension of the opening hours, we will offer two reservation shifts per day. TUM members can reserve morning shifts (starting at 8:00 / 10:00 a.m.) or evening shifts (starting at 3:00 p.m.). Please note: If you book morning and evening shifts on the same day, you will have already exhausted the maximum number of two reservations per week.

Hygiene Concept
Please observe the following rules when visiting our branch libraries:
- Access to all TUM buildings only for users with proof of a negative test, an approved vaccination or a convalescence certificate (3G rule).
- FFP2 masks are compulsory while in the library; as long as the Bavaria-wide hospital alert level remains green, it is sufficient to wear a surgical mask. However, you may remove your mask when seated at a reserved study desk.
- Minimum distance between two persons of 1.5 metres
