Renovation Works at the Branch Library Chemistry

From 24 February, minor renovation works will take place at the Branch Library Chemistry on individual days. Please be aware that it may be a little bit louder than usual. In this case, we have ear plugs available for all library visitors.

Alternatively, you can also visit one of our other branch libraries.

All branch libraries are open regularly

Opening Hours during Carnival Season 2020

On Carnival Tuesday, 25 February 2020, official working time ends at 12.00 noon. However, all TUM Branch Libraries will be open at regular hours.

However, the following services are not available on Carnival Tuesday:

paying media reclaim charges in cash
picking-up poster and buying tutorial scripts (LRZ Service Point)

On Carnival Monday, 24 February 2020 all branch libraries provide regular services and opening hours.

Media Reclaim and LRZ Service Point

Modification of Service Hours

From 3 February 2020 the following standard times for cash payment of media reclaim fees in the Branch Libraries Main Campus, Weihenstephan, Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering will apply:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8.00 a.m. – 12.00 noon
Tuesday, Thursday 12.00 noon – 4.00 p.m.

In the Branch Library Straubing, cash payment is possible Monday through Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

The opening hours of the LRZ Service Point for picking up LRZ posters or manuals will be adjusted accordingly:
