Interlibrary loan is back! From Monday, 24 March 2025, our free interlibrary loan service will be fully available again. In addition to journal articles, you can now also order books via interlibrary loan.
With the migration to our new library system, interlibrary loan will be even more convenient. You no longer need to search separately in the Bavarian Union Catalog (Gateway Bayern); instead, you can use our OPAC as a central platform for searching and ordering.
The new OPAC includes more than 500 million media items from TUM and other academic libraries. This allows you to order literature easily, whether it is available at TUM or needs to be obtained via interlibrary loan. Depending on availability and media type, you will see different order buttons in context and will be automatically directed to the appropriate ordering service.
