Library Website offline

Web Server Maintenance on 29 March 2018

On Thursday, 29 March, 2018 we will carry out maintenance work on our web server. This means that the library website will be unavailable from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.

The following service are not affected:

OPAC
OPACplus
EZB (Electronic Journals Library)
DBIS (Database Information System)
eAccess

You can access these platforms directly via links which we will provide you during the maintenance work at www.ub.tum.de.

Success in the DEAL negotiations

All Springer journals now available

Under the auspices of the German Rectors' Conference, the DEAL project is negotiating nationwide licence agreements with the major journal publishers Elsevier, Wiley and Springer Nature.

Springer Nature grants us access to all Springer and Adis journals for the years 1997 to 2018 even before the actual contract is concluded. Those Nature and Palgrave journals for which we have no licence are excluded from this regulation.

Online access
Springer journals are available for TUM members under the transitional agreement:

via eAccess (Login with your TUM ID)
or via Shibboleth Login (please select "Technische Universität München Universitätsbibliothek" from the pull-down menu "Select your Institution")
Alternatively, you can also access via proxy if you use a PC with LAN connection within the TUM network (and this is how it works).
External users have access to the journals at the PC workstations in our branch libraries.

We are there for you!

Opening Hours at Easter 2018

We will attend you at Easter.
Our Branch Libraries Main Campus, Mathematics & Informatics and Life Sciences will be open over the Easter weekend:

Main Campus from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Mathematics & Informatics from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Life Sciences from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

For all other branch libraries the public holidays apply. Thus, they will be closed from Good Friday, 30 March 2018, through Easter Monday, 2 April 2018. Our First Level Hotline is also not available.
