The University Library will provide electricity to more than 170 study places in the Branch Libraries Main Campus, Chemistry and Mathematics & Informatics. The desks will be successively converted in the coming weeks and will offer connections for regular Schuko plugs and USB devices.
As part of the renewal of desk lights, 110 additional electrified study places are also being created in the Branch Library Mechanical Engineering.
This means that more than 70 percent of the study places in our branch libraries will have direct power supply. The University Library is constantly striving to increase the number of electrified desks. For workplaces that cannot be supplied with electricity for structural reasons, power banks will be available for loan in a pilot project starting at the end of 2017.
