Official training seal as IHK training provider 2015

We offer training

The University Library of the Technische Universität München is a training provider for the three-year training as an IT specialist in application development. There are still free training places available for the academic year from 01.09.2015. Apply online by the end of March at the TUM Training Centre.

In addition, we train specialists in media and information services (FaMI).

Enhanced Service for TUM Authors

Open Access – New Agreements with Publishers

TUM entered into agreement with further open access publishers to facilitate you a smoother publication process. Our new partners are: Copernicus Publications and Wiley.

When publishing in open access journal of these publishers, you no longer need to fill in a funding enquiry for the TUM Open Access Publishing Fund. Invoicing will be handled directly with the university library. Through the agreements the TUM also receives in certain cases discounts on article processing charges (APC). TUM also covers the APCs for your publication at IEEE open access journals.

Almost all branch libraries are open regularly

Opening Hours at Carnival 2015

On Carnival Tuesday, February 17, 2015 working hours are limited until 12.00 noon. However, almost all TUM Branch Libraries will be open at regular hours - except for the Branch Library Renewable Resources in Straubing which will close already at 12.00 noon.

In Garching and Weihenstephan, paying of overdue fees in cash will not be available after 12.00 noon.

On Carnival Monday, 16.02.2015 all branch libraries provide regular services and opening hours.

Anatomy Atlas Prometheus now online available

Thieme Anatomy Image Database

We are now providing access to the Thieme anatomy image database. 2000 anatomical and radiological images from the anatomy atlas Prometheus are available online. Illustrations can be downloaded as image, PowerPoint or PDF files.

Your online access

TUM members can access the image database via eAccess. Please log in with your TUM ID: Start Thieme Anatomy via e-Access

Alternatively, it is possible to log in at a desktop PC within the TUM-LAN with proxy configuration.
