From 1 February 2022, we are expanding our opening hours at the Garching Campus. Our Branch Libraries Chemistry, Physics and Mechanical Engineering will then be open longer for you:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
This means that the three libraries will not only return to their pre-pandemic opening hours, but will also open two hours longer on Fridays (Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering) and one hour earlier in the morning (Physics).

Reserving study desks
With the extension of the opening hours, we will offer two reservation shifts per day. TUM members can reserve morning shifts (starting at 8:00 a.m.) or afternoon shifts (starting at 3:00 p.m.).

Please observe the following rules when visiting our branch libraries:
- 2G rule: Access only for library visitors with proof of vaccination or recovery. Details
- FFP2 masks mandatory; however, you may remove your mask when seated at a reserved study desk.
- Minimum distance between two persons of 1.5 metres
