- Learning space and study desks
Our reading rooms are temporarily closed. From 15 March 2021, reservation of study desks will be available again from TUM members.
- Borrowing & checking-out
Please order required literature via OPAC to one of the four open branch libraries. This is also possible for books from the stacks and branch libraries that are still closed. We will redirect previously requested books that are ready for collection at closed branch libraries and notify affected customers by e-mail. Book delivery will no longer be available from 25 January 2021.
- Returning library items
Returing borrowed items is possible in our four open branch libraries, regardless of in which branch library you originally checked them out. However, you are also welcome to continue returning books by mail. Media reclaims are suspended until 3 May 2021.
- Further services at the circulation desks
Library cards can be issued and renewed again. You can also pick up and return interlibrary loans. Cash payment of media reclaim charges is not yet available. Please use payment by bank transfer.
- E-Media
We offer TUM members more than 170,000 e-books, 72,000 e-journals and 2,300 databases. Please make use of this offer with priority.
- Document delivery via dokumenTUM
TUM members can use our scanning service dokumenTUM for journal articles and book chapters (max. 10 percent) as usual.
- Scanning service for digital course reserves
Lecturers at TUM can make learning materials available to their students in digital course reserves on Moodle. We will take care of the scanning.
- Webinars, e-courses and online consultations
We offer our entire course programme as webinars, including courses on literature research or using databases and e-media. We are also happy to provide personal advice in our online consultations.
- First Level Hotline
Our information team will continue to be available by phone, email, or chat and will be happy to help you with any occurring question.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Protecting everyone's health is our absolute priority.
