In 2024, we continue to license the two major databases in the field of chemistry for TUM members – Reaxys and SciFinder. New modules have been added to SciFinder, including Analytical Methods, Formulus, and ChemZent. All three are accessible within the SciFinder-n Discovery Platform. For Reaxys, the scope of the database has expanded, providing even more documents, patents, substances, and reaction data linked with AI technology for your research.
Workshops
Given the recent developments in Reaxys and SciFinder, we are offering workshops in collaboration with the database providers:
- Reaxys Workshop
Date: Wedn, 20 March 2024, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Location: Branch Library Chemistry, Reading/Seminar Room 5401.EG.114K
Provider: Elsevier
- SciFinder Workshop
Date: Thur, 4 April 2024, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Location: Branch Library Chemistry, Reading/Seminar Room 5401.EG.114K

Please note: Unfortunately, the SciFinder Workshop is cancelled!
Both events are primarily aimed at researchers. However, all TUM members are welcome to participate. The workshops will be held in person at the Branch Library Chemistry and will be conducted in English.
No prior registration is required; just come by. Please bring your laptop to actively participate.
Your Online Access
- Reaxys: TUM members can conveniently access Reaxys via e-Access. Please log in with your TUM ID.
- SciFinder: On Wednesday, 6 March 2024, we will switch to single sign-on via Shibboleth. The cumbersome personal registration will then no longer be necessary. You don't need to take any action: existing accounts will continue to work, and your search history and settings will remain intact. New accounts will be automatically created after logging in via Shibboleth.
