Want to start an academic journal? Or you are already the editor of a journal and would like to move it under the TUM umbrella? TUM.University Press offers now TUM researchers the opportunity to publish their own open access journal within the new editorial program TUM.UP-JOURNALS.
The service includes setup and hosting of your journal using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) publishing software. The TUM.University Press team will advise you on editorial processes, provide you with customized training on OJS, and support you in maximizing the visibility of your journal.
To be eligible for the new and free-of-charge service, your journal must fall within TUM's disciplinary scope, the main editor and contract partner must be professor at TUM.
TUM.UP-JOURNALS are pure Diamond Open Access Journals: neither readers nor publishers incur any costs. In this regard, TUM.University Press supports the TUM Open Access Policy in its goal to provide free access to scientific information and to reach maximum visibility of research outcomes.
On the TUM.University Press website you will find a sample journal as well as information on how to set up your TUM.UP-JOURNAL: https://www.ub.tum.de/en/tumuniversitypress/journals
