TUM has extended its Publish & Read agreement with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for 2024. TUM members benefit from special conditions for their open access publications.
The following services are available through the TUM University Library:
- Reading Access
At TUM, you have access rights to almost the entire journal portfolio of ASME. Starting in 2024, we will also offer you access to the society's proceedings.
- Open Access Publishing
As a "Corresponding Author" affiliated with TUM, you have the opportunity to publish your papers as Open Access in both ASME journals and proceedings. There are no costs for you personally for Open Access publishing. APCs (Article Processing Charges) are covered by TUM and handled through the TUM University Library. If you opt for additional services (e.g., for color illustrations or extra length) with the publisher, ASME will directly invoice you for those expenses.
Mandatory Affiliation Statement
For cost coverage and the precise attribution of your publication, it is crucial that you indicate TUM as your primary affiliation and utilize the binding, standardized affiliation designation. Please adhere to the specifications outlined in the TUM Publication Guidelines for all your publication projects. Always use your TUM email address (@tum.de or @mytum.de) for the submission process to ensure that the publisher correctly affiliates you with TUM.
