TUM has concluded a new agreement with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), allowing TUM members to publish Open Access without limit on the number of articles.
The following services are available through the TUM University Library:
- Reading Access
At TUM, you have access rights to almost all IEEE journals, conference papers and standards via the IEEE Xplore platform.
- Open Access Publishing
As a "Corresponding Author" affiliated with TUM, you have the opportunity to publish your papers as Open Access in almost all IEEE journals. There are no costs for you personally for Open Access publishing if your article has been accepted for publication from 1 January 2024. APCs (Article Processing Charges) are covered by TUM and handled through the TUM University Library. If you opt for additional services (e.g., for color illustrations or extra length) with the publisher, IEEE will directly invoice you for those expenses.
Mandatory Affiliation Statement
For cost coverage and the precise attribution of your publication, it is crucial that you indicate TUM as your primary affiliation and utilize the binding, standardized affiliation designation. Please adhere to the specifications outlined in the TUM Publication Guidelines for all your publication projects. "Corresponding authors" are identified by their email address. Therefore, always use your TUM email address (@tum.de or @mytum.de) for the submission process to ensure that the publisher correctly affiliates you with TUM.
