Gateway Bayern
In the union catalogue Gateway Bayern, you can search in parallel with the collections of all libraries in the Bavarian Library Network (BVB) and in WorldCat. The gateway allows you to use the interlibrary loan service, i.e. you can order literature that is not available locally at your home library. For a local search, please use the online catalogue of your local library (e.g. the TUM Online Catalogue).
Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog KVK
The Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog (KVK) offers the possibility to search a large number of catalogues of research libraries in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as several important national libraries in other countries and large commercial catalogues.
Journal Database ZDB
The Journal Database (ZDB) is the world’s largest specialised database for serial titles (journals, annuals, newspapers, e-journals, etc.). You can search for printed and electronic journals from all countries, in all languages, held in 4,300 German (and some foreign) libraries. There is an integrated order function, which you can use for interlibrary loans or placing a purchase order with subito. Tip: When looking specifically for electronic journals, we recommend to use our Electronic Journals Library EZB.
WorldCat
WorldCat is the world's largest union catalog which includes the collections of 71,000 libraries in 112 countries.
Google Scholar
The Google Scholar search engine offers a broad search facility for scholarly literature. Google Scholar searches through numerous scientific servers, but still captures only a small portion of the scientific publications on the net. Tip: In Scholar Preferences, you can integrate under "Library Links" our TUM SFX link service into Google Scholar.
