With the start of the new semester, TUM members will re-gain free access to book shelves in the branch libraries. From Monday, 27 September 2021, you can use our open access holdings in the reading rooms and textbook collections autonomously again.
If you wish access the shelves, please report to the circulation desk. Identify yourself as a TUM member, e.g. with your TUM StudentCard or TUM PersonalCard. You must also prove that you have tested negative, have had an approved vaccination or have recovered (3G rule).
The following hygiene rules apply:
- Obligation to wear disposable gloves while using books on the shelf
- FFP2 mask obligation; as long as the Bavaria-wide hospital alert level remains green, it is sufficient to wear a surgical mask.
- Minimum distance of 1.5 metres from other persons
- no use of study desks
The number of people who can use the open access holdings at the same time is limited.
