Search more comfortably

VDE Standards Library now available campus-wide

Limited search options for VDE standards on a single workstations in the reading room are a thing of the past. We have recently started offering campus-wide access to the VDE Standards Library.

This gives you direct access to all current VDE regulations, including drafts. Extensive bibliographic information is available on withdrawn and historical VDE regulations. You can view full texts of the VDE standards, however, a download is not possible for licensing reasons.

Online access
As a TUM member, you can conveniently log into the database on your own computer with your TUM ID via eAccess: Start the VDE Standards Library with eAccess. Alternatively, it is possible to log in at a desktop PC in the TUM-LAN with proxy configuration.

University Library continues to be open during the partial lockdown

All TUM branch libraries will remain open during the partial lockdown starting November 2, 2020. Regular opening hours apply, all currently available services will be continued.

Mandatory safety and hygiene rules apply during the Corona Pandemic.

Ordering, borrowing, returning
Our loan services are available without prior appointment during service hours. Please order books via the OPAC in advance. Make use of our wide range of online media: More than 170,000 ebooks, 72,000 e-journals, and 2,300 databases are available to TUM members. Read more

Learning in the library
We offer TUM members a limited number of individual study desks in all branch libraries. Please reserve your place in advance. Read more

Heating Maintenance at the Branch Library Mechanical Engineering

Due to maintenance work on the ventilation and heating system, the room temperature in the Branch Library Mechanical Engineering is too low until 11 November 2020.

Please switch to other branch libraries and reserve a study desk there.

Update 12 November 2020: The maintenance work has been completed. Heating is working again.
