Starting 3 August, you no longer need to make an appointment for services at the circulation desks. You can visit all branch libraries spontaneously and, among other things, borrow pre-ordered media, return books, or pick up interlibrary loans. Please note the special service hours at the circulation desks.
Pre-order literature
Literature that you want to borrow or use at your reserved study desk has to be pre-ordered via OPAC. At the moment you cannot pick up library items from the shelves in the reading rooms and textbook collections yourself.
Returning library items
Returning borrowed items is possible in all branch libraries – regardless of where you originally checked them out. You are also welcome to return books by mail.
Service restrictions
Not yet available are scanners, library computers, lockers, carrels, and group study rooms.
The University Library continuously adapts its services to the current situation of the Corona Pandemic. To protect the health of everyone, it is still necessary to comply with infection control regulations and safety requirements. Therefore, special library rules apply, especially with regard to mouth-and-nose covering and distancing rules.
Please inform yourself about current developments and regulations in detail before you visit the library.
