Library Tours at the Start of the Semester 2014

You are just starting your studies at the TUM? And you would like to know what your university library offers? Then join one of our library tours at the start of the new semester! From October 8, we offer library tours in our branch libraries in Garching, Weihenstephan and Munich.

Library in 30 minutes: Learn about the most import library services from loan service to amazing information tools.

All dates and meeting points online under: http://www.ub.tum.de/en/library-tours. Registration possible, but not required. Just stop by!

Branch Library Main Campus will close already at 9 p.m.

On Thursday, October 9, 2014, the TUM student council organises its semester opening party „Meine erste Uniparty“.

Due to this event the Branch Library Main Campus will close already at 9.00 p.m.

Tag der offenen Tür Garching 11. Oktober 2014

Ausprobieren, Anschauen, Zuhören: „Forschung live“ können Sie am Samstag, 11. Oktober von 11 - 18 Uhr beim Tag der offenen Tür auf dem Wissenschaftscampus Garching erleben. An diesem Tag öffnen Forschungseinrichtungen und forschungsnahe Unternehmen ihre Türen für Besucher. Auch die Universitätsbibliothek ist mit dabei.

An unseren Infoständen in der Magistrale der Fakultät Maschinenwesen und der Fakultäten Mathematik & Informatik lernen Sie unser Serviceangebot kennen. Zusätzlich ist die Teilbibliothek Maschinenwesen von 10 – 15 Uhr für Sie geöffnet. In der Teilbibliothek Mathematik & Informatik sind wir wie gewohnt von 10 – 20 Uhr für Sie da – schauen Sie doch mal vorbei!

How to publish a technical paper with IEEE

IEEE Authorship Workshop at TUM

IEEE invites you to a free live authorship workshop at the TUM University Library on 23rd October. The event will offer advice on everything from how to publish a technical paper with IEEE to basic writing tips and submitting a manuscript. The workshop is free to faculty, research staff, and postgraduate engineering students.

Despite the national holiday, we will be there for you! Our branch libraries Main Campus (10 a.m. - 10 p.m.), Mathematics & Informatics (10 a.m. - 8 p.m.) and Life Sciences (10 a.m. - 8 p.m.) will be open.
