New Corona Measures

3G rule at TUM: Vaccinated – Recovered – Tested

From a 7-day infection incidence of 35 onwards, the 3G rule applies in accordance to the 14th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance.

To enter TUM buildings students and external visitors are required to present a proof of vaccination (Geimpft), a convalescent certificate (Genesen) or a valid negative Corona test (Getestet).

[Please note: This article describes the access rules as at September 2021. Since 20 October 2021 the 3G rule applies to all users (including TUM staff).]

According, the follow rules apply for visits to our branch libraries:

Students and external visitors are required to present a proof of approved vaccination, a convalescent certificate or a valid negative Corona test.
TUM employees must present the TUM PersonalCard.
All users are obliged to wear an FFP mask while present at the library; as long as the Bavaria-wide hospital alert level remains green, it is sufficient to wear a surgical mask. You are allowed to take off the mask while seated at the assigned study desk.

Our courses and consultation services – for your efficient research data management

Efficient handling of research data is key to transparency, reproducibility and quality assurance of research results. In our courses you will learn how to conduct sustainable research data management and which tools are available for this purpose at TUM.

All courses in the winter semester 2021/22 take place online and are offered in German and English. They are aimed at doctoral candidates, researchers and TUM employees.

Course on Research Data Management
This course will present the basics of research data management. You will learn the most important aspects of handling research data and what third-party funders require and how you can best fulfill these requirements.

Course on the TUM Workbench
This course offers you an introduction to the TUM Workbench – the university's own tool for project and research data management. You will learn how to use the platform to organise your projects efficiently, collaborate with colleagues and comply with policies for research data management.

Research Data Management Consultation
Do you need help with the handling of research data? We will be happy to advise you individually on all aspects of research data management – from creating a data management plan to the publication of research data.
