Efficient handling of research data is key to transparency, reproducibility and quality assurance of research results. In our Data Steward Training, you will learn how to conduct sustainable research data management and how to advance it in your field.
The course is aimed at researchers who want to develop solutions, concepts and strategies for managing research data in their discipline. Data stewards act as a link between the central research data infrastructure and researchers in their discipline. They combine subject expertise with in-depth knowledge of research data management and support other researchers in dealing with research data.
The training programme stretches over the entire winter semester 2021/2022 and consists of weekly workshops on the topics of research data management, version control, data analysis and project management. The acquired knowledge is applied in a subject-related final project.
The course takes place online and is limited to ten participants. In addition to acquiring extensive knowledge, the training offers the opportunity to network with other data stewards and work on joint projects.
