Opening Hours on 01.05.2019

On the public holiday 1st of May, our Branch Libraries Main Campus in Munich, Mathematics & Informatics in Garching and Life Sciences in Weihenstephan will be open:

Main Campus from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Mathematics & Informatics from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Life Sciences from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

All other branch libraries and the First Level Hotline will be closed on the public holiday.

Opening Hours at Easter 2019

We will attend you at Easter.
Our Branch Libraries Main Campus, Mathematics & Informatics and Life Sciences will be open from Good Friday to Easter Monday:

Main Campus from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Mathematics & Informatics from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Life Sciences from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

For all other branch libraries the public holidays apply. Thus, they will be closed from Good Friday, 19 April 2019, through Easter Monday, 22 April 2019. Our First Level Hotline is also not available.

Web Server Maintenance on 2 April 2019

Tomorrow, 2 April 2019, we will carry out maintenance work on our web server. This means that the library website will be unavailable between 9.30 and 11.30 a.m.

The following service are not affected:

DBIS (Database Information System)

Newly licensed

Beck-online: Data Protection and Freedom of Information Module

The topic of data protection and freedom of information has been on everyone's lips ever since the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In order to be prepared for the diverse issues, we now offer access to a specialized product from the renowned publishing house Beck.

The module "Privacy and Freedom of Information Premium" from Beck-online provides access to more than 20 manuals and comments as well as the underlying laws. Journals and news contained help you to keep up to date.

Online access
TUM members can access Beck-online within the TUM LAN with proxy configuration. Please set-up the PAC settings of your browser accordingly. External library patrons can access the database at public computers in our branch libraries. Access via eAccess is not permitted due to licensing reasons.

New database Human Anatomy Atlas

The human body in 3D

For the field of medicine, the University Library offers you a new database, the Human Anatomy Atlas by Visible Body®.

The atlas contains over 6,000 anatomical structures with detailed definitions and Latin technical terms. You can view the skeletons, muscles, nerves, vessels and organs on interactive 3D models and gain insight into the macro- and microanatomy of the human body.

In addition, the database contains descriptions of diseases and injuries, as well as a quiz function with more than 1,000 questions to deepen your knowledge.

Online access
TUM members can access Human Anatomy Atlas via eAccess. Please log in with your TUM ID. External library patrons can access the database at public computers in our branch libraries.
