Finding collaborative partnerships, analysing research trends or tracking university rankings: Elsevier's SciVal analytics tool provides access to publication data from 14,000 research institutions worldwide.
Based on the literature database Scopus, SciVal enables the visualisation and comparison of publication volumes of individual institutions with regard to various parameters. For example, it is possible to analyse how often an institution publishes in cooperation with industrial partners or which are the institutions with which TUM scientists co-publish most often.
TUM has licensed SciVal starting January 2020. A general introductory webinar offers all interested parties a starting point to explore the search interface and research possibilities. In order to get to know the features of SciVal with a subject-specific focus more closely, webinars with a technical focus are also available.
