The TUM University Library has closed all reading rooms and branch libraries from Saturday, 14 March 2020 until further notice. The background is the current spread of the coronavirus.
Update: Since 18 May 2020, TUM members can reserve study desks at the branch libraries. As of June 2, loan services are available again.
This means during the lockdown:
- Books cannot be borrowed or returned until 1 June 2020.
- Media reclaim fees are suspended for the period of closure.
- All digital services are available as usual. TUM members can access our electronic media, such as e-books and e-journal as well as numerous databases at home.
- In addition, we are expanding our internal electronic document delivery service dokumenTUM in order to replace temporarily suspended loan and interlibrary loan services.
- TUM lecturers can use our scanning service for digital course reserves.
- All classroom courses are cancelled until further notice. However, we offer all our courses as webinars. Please refer to our course program for more information.
- Library facilities such as carrels, group study rooms and the TUM Speaker's Corner are not accessible.
